Even the most successful leaders and business owners experience moments where they feel behind, stuck, or uncertain if they’re still on the right track.
Maybe you set clear goals at the beginning of the year—but now they feel a little out of reach. Or maybe you’re making great progress, but deep down you’re wondering if you can sustain it. It’s easy to stay busy. It’s harder to slow down and make sure your effort is still aligned with what you really want.
That’s where a strategic reset comes in.
Instead of pushing harder or piling more on your plate, a reset gives you space to think clearly, refocus your energy, and move forward with a plan you actually want to follow.
Here’s the 3-step framework I use with high-achieving clients to help them reset with intention, rebuild momentum, and stay focused on what actually drives results.
Before you can move forward strategically, you need to step back.
This step is about assessing what’s working, what’s not, and what matters most right now. It’s not about judgment—it’s about clarity.
Start by asking:
– What’s working?
– What’s not working?
– What matters most in this season?
You’re not finalizing goals yet—you’re simply surfacing insight. This gives you the clarity you need to move forward with purpose.
Once you’ve reflected, it’s time to narrow your attention. Start by identifying the most meaningful goal you want to achieve in the next 90 days—and then work backward.
Ask yourself:
– What’s the most impactful thing I could accomplish in the next 90 days?
– What actions or habits are most directly tied to that goal?
– Which of these actions excite me, stretch me, or feel foundational?
You don’t need 15 priorities. You need 2–3 that will create real progress. One that excites you, one that challenges you, and one that’s essential to your growth.
Clarity only gets you so far—now it’s time to take action.
Create a one-page plan outlining your top priorities, and then go to your calendar and schedule time to follow through. Protect the space before the urgent things take over.
Because without structure, even the best intentions fade fast. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s consistency.
Even with a great plan, high achievers often get pulled off track.
Here are three patterns to watch out for:
– Trying to change everything at once
– Not protecting the structure you created
– Letting one off week convince you the reset didn’t work
A reset isn’t about doing everything differently. It’s about doing the right things with more clarity, confidence, and intention.
If you want a partner to help you think more strategically, clarify your priorities, and follow through on what matters most—I’m now offering a Strategic Reset Sprint.
