Here we go! I launched my first Elite Achievement podcast episode yesterday, and I’m so excited. Let’s get started with what it’s all about, why I decided to launch a podcast and how this new content will serve you.
Most importantly, my goal is to help you maximize your potential and achieve your definitions of success.
I am fascinated by the goal achievement journey and am constantly seeking to understand the difference between goal achievers and non-achievers. I have been setting goals, tracking goals, achieving goals and even failing to achieve goals for years. Yet, it took me a long time to listen to my heart, follow my intuition and build a career around helping other people achieve their goals.
Elite Achievement is going to be your place to learn about goals, get inspired to set them and learn how to do really big, meaningful, impactful things that will accelerate your business growth and advance your career.
I’m launching a podcast for three reasons. First, to give back. Second, to extend my impact and third, to help me grow.
I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for podcasts. Listening to them helped me DREAM BIGGER and introduced me to the mentors I needed, when I needed them the most.
In 2018, I set a goal to listen to one podcast per week. I was craving personal and professional development and I had heard so many people talk positively about podcasts. I figured it was worth a shot, and I should check them out.
I listened to a variety of podcasts to find the ones that resonated with me the most. And today, I rotate between three and four depending on my mood, the inspiration I need, or the message I need to grow my business. I would encourage you – if you are new to this podcast journey – listen to some and see what piques your interest. Then, lock into a couple of shows. Hopefully, this will become one of them you listen to regularly!
By listening to podcasts consistently, the way I thought about my potential started to evolve and change. I started to become more confident, listen to my intuition and chip away at some of the limiting beliefs and fixed mindsets that I had developed over the years. And ultimately, I decided to launch my own business!
Podcasts have been absolutely critical in my personal and professional growth journey (check out some of my current favorites at the end of this blog). And I feel compelled to give back.
As I thought about launching a podcast, I’ll be honest – I had a few limiting beliefs. I thought this has already been done. There are so many podcasts out there. Why should I start one?
But what I’ve learned about goal achievement, taking risks and living out your dreams, is that the limiting belief of “it’s already been done” shows up all the time. It’s one of those beliefs that is linked to fear and can keep us stuck and comfortable doing the same things. My hope is that my message will impact you on the right day at the right time to inspire change and give you the gift of achieving your most meaningful goals and living your life by design.
My podcast is a way for me to impact a larger audience. I love helping people achieve their goals and I find the process so incredibly interesting. As I mentioned, I’m always curious why some people achieve monumental success and others (who say they want that same level of success) struggle.
I’ve been coaching small business owners for over a decade. I’ve also been setting and achieving personal goals for years. And I always find myself chatting with friends and family about personal and professional growth. I have turned my interest and passion for goals into a career. And I’m excited to share with you what I’ve learned.
Some podcast episodes will just be me and others will include expert guests. You can expect to consistently learn concepts and strategies to maximize your potential and achieve your definitions of success, both on my podcast and here, in the blog. We will talk goal setting, success habits and practices that will help you get out of your own way. We’ll talk mindset, progress not perfection and we’ll celebrate wins.
In short, expect to learn about all things related to achieving your goals.
As I interview guests, I want to showcase their stories of building something from nothing and highlight their expertise. Through different stories, you can start to understand more about achieving goals and perhaps be inspired to take different actions in your life. I hope to leave you fired up and ready to accomplish your own breakout performances.
I’ll admit there was also a selfish component to launching my podcast. Ultimately, I want to grow, and I know that you only grow when you are outside your comfort zone.
Sitting down in front of a microphone in a closet feels a little awkward. Yep – I record my podcasts in my closet!
Sharing my perspectives, insights and stories feels incredibly vulnerable too. But I know that this is a way for me to grow. And the only way I’m going to build the empire that I aspire to build is to help a significant number of people achieve their goals is by embracing this level of discomfort.
I would challenge you to ask yourself, are you ready to work? It is often said that the dream is free, but the hustle is sold separately. And if you would have told me a year ago, I’d be hosting a podcast, I would have told you, you’re crazy.
But here I am! I’ve been doing the work – day in and day out. I’ve been writing in my gratitude journal. I’ve been reading my short term vision statement. I’ve hired coaches. I know that years of work, compounding over time has gotten me to this place.
Goal achievement requires clarity and consistent effort. I encourage you to pick one thing to implement or change. Just one thing. You will expedite your growth by taking action.
My other ask is that if my podcast resonates with you, share it. Text episodes to a friend when you listen, screenshot episodes that you find meaningful and post them on social media. I remember so many times, I would be listening to a podcast and thinking about someone who needed to hear the message. And yet, I hesitated to share because I worried what the other person would think! How silly – we all need support and guidance on our goal achievement journeys. So, if you hear something that helps you don’t hesitate, pass it along.
I’m excited to join you on your development journey. I know there are a lot of ways you can invest your time. So, I am honored that you’ve spent time here. Let’s all work to become best-in-class achievers. Let’s become elite by being clear on what we want and courageously pursuing our goals with confidence and consistent effort.
